Logistics clerk
Function
For the job of logistics clerk, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- You track transport files, ensure all documents are present and prepare transport documents;
- You welcome customers and drivers at the counter and direct them to the right loading dock;
- You liaise with carriers, evaluate them and request transport prices;
- You will provide logistical administrative support (preparing shipment notes, registering damage/incomplete shipments, arranging return requests, invoicing...);
- You have an analytical mind and turn data into reports and actively think about improvements;
- You will also support your customer service colleagues in order entry and stock monitoring;
- New projects you will help develop, implement and test - in time, you will be the transport manager's backup.
Profile
Are you the logistics clerk we are looking for?
- You have a bachelor's degree and/or experience in the transport sector;
- You speak and write fluently in Dutch and can get along well in French and English;
- You like variety, think along with improvement proposals and are flexible both at busy times and in terms of your range of tasks;
- You are a team player, enjoy helping colleagues and take a customer-oriented approach.
