Logistics clerk
Function
Within our logistics department, you will be a key link in the management of our goods flows. You will ensure that our products reach their destination on time and efficiently, from arrival at the port through to delivery to the customer.
Your duties will include:
- Co-ordinating the movement of goods between our warehouses in Antwerp and Ghent, in close collaboration with the purchasing department and our colleagues in France;
- Organising and monitoring shipments following the release of goods at the Port of Antwerp;
- Co-ordinating deliveries with the sales department and planning full loads to customers;
- Maintaining contact with hauliers, suppliers and internal stakeholders;
- Ensuring a smooth and efficient logistics flow and resolving operational challenges.
Following a thorough induction period, you will be given responsibility for the entire logistics process: from dispatch in the country of origin to the receipt of the goods at our warehouse in Ghent. You will monitor the files closely and ensure that all logistics processes are handled correctly and on time.
Profile
As a logistics clerk, you will possess the following qualities:
- You hold a degree in logistics, freight forwarding or a related field, or you have a keen interest in logistics processes and supply chain management;
- You are willing to work 2 to 3 days a week until 5.30 pm on a rota basis;
- You have experience of an ERP system; knowledge of Navision is an advantage;
- Knowledge of customs formalities and documents is a major asset;
- You work accurately and in an organised manner, and are able to keep track of things even under time pressure;
- You communicate fluently and professionally with both internal and external contacts;
- You have an excellent command of Dutch and can get by reasonably well in French and English;
- You feel at home in an international working environment and enjoy working alongside colleagues from different departments;
- You are an enthusiastic team player who thrives on collaboration, taking responsibility and achieving shared goals.

- Wages will be discussed in detail during the job interview;

- 20 days’ holiday + 12 days’ advance leave;

- Flexible working hours within a 40-hour week, taking into account a rota with colleagues up to 17.30;
- Group insurance 2% (increases by 1% each year, up to a maximum of 6%).
