Food Quality Officer
Function
In this varied role, you will help to maintain and further develop our quality system, follow up on complaints and non-conformities, and provide support during audits.
You’ll be taking on a role that offers a good mix of administrative work, analysis and on-site checks.
Tasks
- You will maintain and optimise the existing quality system in accordance with legal requirements, quality standards and client-specific specifications.
- You will monitor complaint files and non-conformities and help to identify the causes and determine corrective actions.
- You will assist with the preparation, conduct, follow-up and reporting of internal and external audits.
- You will play an active role in the further development and improvement of our quality processes.
- You will manage and update product specifications, nutritional information and quality documentation.
- You will work closely with production and other internal departments to monitor the quality of our products and processes.
- You will provide support to the laboratory as required, including when carrying out quality controls
- You assess the results of checks and compare them with the specified requirements.
- You will draw up monthly quality reports in collaboration with the QA manager
Profile
- You must have a bachelor’s degree in nutrition, chemistry, biochemistry or a related subject, or equivalent experience.
- Ideally, you will have some initial work experience within a quality management system in the food sector.
- You are familiar with quality standards such as BRCGS, HACCP and IFS.
- You work meticulously and have a keen eye for detail.
- You have a critical mindset and are not afraid to raise issues in a constructive manner.
- You are independent and like to take the initiative, but you also know when consultation and collaboration are needed.
- You enjoy a mix of administrative work, analysis and on-site checks.
- You are flexible and willing to provide support in the lab when the laboratory technician is absent.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch and English.
- You can work fluently with MS Office.

Offer
- Permanent contract, indefinite.
- You work 40 hours a week, with 20 days’ leave plus 12 days’ additional leave.
