Credit Counsellor

Function

As a credit adviser, you guide clients through their credit application. You listen to their plans, map out their financial situation and look for a suitable solution together with them.

Your duties will include:

• Advising and guiding clients with private credit applications.
• Drawing up, analysing and following up on credit files, including the necessary scoring.
• Gathering, checking and processing the necessary documents and information.
• Monitoring the administrative follow-up and the various steps within the credit process.
• Recognising commercial opportunities and passing on relevant leads to colleagues.
• Working closely with the credit team and discussing files during the weekly team meeting.
• Expanding your knowledge to professional credits in the longer term.

You will have the space to deepen your knowledge through various training opportunities. At the same time, we expect you to already bring a foundation of experience and knowledge, so that you can share this with colleagues as well.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for someone who wants to commit in the long term and enjoys being part of a close-knit team.

• You preferably have experience in credits or a relevant background in the banking sector.
• You are eager to learn and open to training in order to further develop your expertise.
• You are commercially minded and recognise opportunities without imposing anything on clients.
• You work accurately and have an eye for the administrative side of credit files.
• You are communicative and enjoy building a relationship of trust with clients.
• You enjoy sharing knowledge, consult easily with colleagues and are open to feedback.
• You are motivated to commit to the office for a longer period of time.

Organisation

Our client is an independent bank branch with a team of around 12 employees, active in banking and insurance. Within the credit team, the focus is on providing high-quality guidance to clients, with personal contact and trust at the heart of everything.

You will join a diverse team with different backgrounds and levels of experience. Colleagues share their knowledge and support one another where needed. There is a weekly team meeting to discuss files and exchange experiences. Team-building activities and initiatives with external coaches also contribute to the strong group dynamic.

The office works with shared objectives and places great importance on collaboration. The atmosphere is collegial, the days are well-filled and the work is varied.
