International field technical expert

Function

As an International Field Technical Expert, you will play a crucial role in the leading technical team of a rapidly growing technology company focused on energy management and sustainability. Based in Aalst, you will travel internationally to install, configure and operate complex systems. You will be the technical point of contact for customers on site and ensure flawless execution of projects with a focus on quality and safety.

Your responsibilities include:

• Lead and support complex on-site installations for large, strategic projects.
• Installation and commissioning of equipment such as data loggers, sensors, meters, current transformers and more.
• Ensure accurate and documented 'First Time Right' installations.
• Working safely in low-voltage and high-voltage environments, including HV cabins (BA4/BA5 certified).
• Supervise, train and coach local technicians and partners.
• Prepare technical overviews and collaborate with internal technical teams.
• Frequent travel, both in Belgium and within Europe.

Profile

For this position, we are looking for an experienced and autonomous professional who is highly motivated to contribute to quality technical solutions. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in electrical installations.
• Experience with:
  • Low-voltage panels and power distribution systems.
  • Installation of sensors, meters and current transformers.
  • Industrial and commercial electrical environments.
• Certification BA4 and BA5 or willing to pursue this further.
• Skill in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Fluent in analysing and structuring customer installations.
• Comfortable in working independently on location and willing to travel internationally (at least 50% of the time).
• Problem-solving and decisive.
• Very good knowledge of Dutch and English. Knowledge of French or other languages is a plus.
