Insurance claims manager

Function

• Managing claims for individuals and businesses, from initial notification to final settlement.
• Analyse coverage, liability and circumstances at the start of each case.
• Correctly apply policy terms, rules and conventions based on that analysis.
• Actively negotiate with relevant parties to defend client interests.
• Accurately quantify claim amounts and explain them clearly to the insured.
• Ensure clear, proactive communication via phone and mail with customers, companies and other stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, quality and completeness of each file, including when it becomes complex.

Profile

What it takes to take on this role well:

• Relevant experience as a claims manager within the insurance industry, preferably in a brokerage context.
• Smooth handling of a digital management package such as Brio.
• Thorough knowledge of claims processes and handling.
