Insurance Adviser at BOAR

Location: Holsbeek, Flemish Brabant, Belgium Specialisation: Finance Salary: € 2.500 - € 4.500 gross / month Contracttype: Indefinite time Hours: 38 h/week Work ritme: Day

Function

As a BOAR Insurance Adviser in Holsbeek, you will advise private and business clients on insurance cover for fire, accidents and miscellaneous risks. You will combine commercial acumen with sound advice and help build long-term client relationships within a stable firm with multiple branches.

You will mainly be working in the office as part of a supportive team. Your duties will include:

  • Advising clients and proposing suitable BOAR solutions.
  • Supporting new customers and following up with existing customers.
  • Preparing quotations, processing policies and managing files.
  • Explain insurance products and assist customers with enquiries and changes.
  • Identifying commercial opportunities whilst prioritising the customer’s interests.
  • Working together with colleagues, insurers and other partners.
  • Using digital systems and insurance packages; you will receive training in this.
  • Apply the procedures and regulations governing insurance mediation correctly.

You will have the opportunity to further develop your expertise and gradually take on more responsibility, depending on your experience, qualifications and interests.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a customer-focused, business-minded professional with an interest in insurance. Experience in the sector is an advantage, but school leavers with the relevant qualifications – or who are willing to obtain them quickly – are also welcome to apply. You recognise yourself in the following qualities:

  • Ideally, you will have experience in insurance, the banking and insurance sector, customer advice or a similar commercial context.
  • You hold PCP certificates or wish to obtain them and continue to expand your knowledge.
  • You communicate fluently and professionally in Dutch, both verbally and in writing.
  • You listen carefully, ask the right questions and explain complex insurance information clearly.
  • You have a commercial mindset and enjoy building long-term customer relationships.
  • You handle quotations, policies and client files in a meticulous and organised manner.
  • You will quickly learn how to work with various software and ERP systems; comprehensive product training is provided.
  • You take the initiative, work independently and consult effectively with colleagues.
  • You’ll be part of a family-like environment where teamwork and professionalism are key.

A specific qualification is not a requirement: experience, the relevant certificates and motivation are at least as important.

Organisation

Our client is a well-established insurance firm with several branches in the region and a strong focus on personalised advice and long-term client relationships. Offer

You will receive an attractive and flexible package, tailored to your experience, role and employment arrangements. The role is available on a full-time or 4/5 basis; part-time work is negotiable. The offer includes:

  • A competitive salary commensurate with experience and responsibilities.
  • A 13th month.
  • Meal vouchers worth €10.
  • Eco-vouchers worth €250.
  • Group and hospitalisation insurance.
  • A net payment.
  • A cafeteria scheme allowing for flexible allocation of part of the benefits package.
  • 23 days’ leave, plus public holidays and days off of your own choosing.
  • Flexible working hours: start between 8.00 and 9.00 am and finish between 4.30 and 5.30 pm; on Fridays at 4.30 pm.
