Freight forwarder Import

Function

Are you the experienced Expeditor we are looking for? As Expeditor Import - Export you will work from the modern offices in Antwerp, where you will be responsible for:

• Managing shipping files of various customers.
• You are a wizard at planning and organising; from arranging bookings, to following up on shipments and making sure every detail is right.
• You manage the process from the first step to final delivery and select the best suppliers.
• Problem-solving thinking is your second nature, and you intervene immediately to prevent or solve challenges.
• Furthermore, you maintain close contact with customers, suppliers, partners and carriers, with clear communication being key.
• The focus is on import files.

Profile

To be considered for this position, you will possess the following:

• A Bachelor's degree, preferably in logistics management, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience as a freight forwarder, preferably in import.
• The firm is very IT-driven so fluency with IT applications is a must.
• Knowledge of customs and dangerous goods is a plus.
• Ability to maintain overview when managing files.
• A hands-on mentality, you are a team player and stress-resistant.
• Excellent communication and social skills. You are fluent in Dutch,and English with a solid foundation of French. Other languages are nice to have.
• A positive port screening is a must.
