Dispatcher

Function

Have you just graduated in logistics or already have initial work experience as a Dispatcher? Do you want to work in a dynamic environment where you are responsible for planning and supervising drivers? Then this vacancy as Dispatcher at our client in Genk is for you!

What will you do?

Planning & organisation

• You manage and optimise the daily planning of our drivers;
• You adjust routes where necessary and ensure timely communication;
• You prepare the necessary documents for the drivers.

People Management

• You are the first point of contact for drivers;
• You ensure that safety rules are strictly observed and intervene where necessary;
• You conduct feedback interviews and validate leave requests;
• You select new drivers and organise toolbox meetings and driver meetings;
• You will supervise and perform checks, following up where necessary.

Administration

• You ensure accurate day end and monitor drivers' performance;
• You will manage logistics administration such as creating TCFs, scheduling inspections and preparing incident reports;
• You will register risk reports and manage claims files;
• You keep stock management of personal protective equipment (PPE) in order;

Profile

We are looking for the following candidate for the position of Dispatcher at our client in Genk:

• You have a degree in logistics or a similar field;
• You have initial work experience as a dispatcher or are a motivated school leaver;
• You are communicatively strong and work accurately;
• You have good organisational skills and are stress-resistant;
• Safety and teamwork are key for you;
• You will be able to work on a rotating schedule (shifts from 6am to 2.30pm and 9.30am to 6pm).
