Design Engineer
Function
How do you make complex projects feasible?
- As a Design / Geotechnical Engineer, you work from Saintes on complex foundation projects for residential construction, industry, energy and infrastructure. Your technical contribution helps to execute every project safely, feasibly and on a sound economic basis.
- Technical pre-studies form the basis for commercial tenders: you analyse the context, compare execution variants and translate geotechnical challenges into concrete solutions.
- For sales teams and project managers, you develop innovative foundation concepts, including technical substantiation, risk assessments and attention to potential optimisations.
- On design issues, you support the Project Manager and liaise with architects, engineering firms, clients, inspection bodies and other external partners.
- You carry out or supervise technical and economic optimisation studies independently. In doing so, you monitor not only the technical quality, but also the feasibility and efficiency of the chosen solution.
- During kick-off meetings and the execution phase, you contribute your expertise. You support sites, help develop method statements and translate design choices into clear guidelines for practice.
- Together with the Engineering team, you work on innovation in areas such as reuse, new materials, innovative techniques and calculation methods. This allows you to see your ideas evolve from study to application.
Profile
Are you strong in both analysis and collaboration, combining accuracy with a creative mindset?
- You hold a degree as a geotechnical, civil or industrial engineer.
- You bring approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in a construction environment, geotechnical engineering firm or a comparable technical context. This allows you to quickly identify connections between design, risks and execution.
- A professional command of French and English helps you discuss technical information clearly with internal and external partners.
- You critically analyse complex information and synthesise it into a clear, well-founded recommendation. Accuracy is important, but you also leave room for creative alternatives.
- You communicate in a structured manner, enjoy collaboration and take responsibility for your advice. That combination is essential for bridging different interests and making technical decisions workable.
