Head Planner

Function

The challenge: As Head Planner, you will be responsible for both the strategic and operational planning of journeys, vehicles and drivers. You will optimise transport combinations to maximise efficiency and profitability, and carry out day-to-day monitoring of journeys. You will play a crucial role in making swift and accurate adjustments in the event of deviations or problems to ensure smooth operations. Your duties will include:

• Oversee the efficient and cost-effective planning of transports with an eye on quality and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain close contact with customers on transport options, pricing and follow up on current orders.
• Manage the operations team and drivers and act as point of contact and mentor.
• Analyse internal processes and suggest continuous improvements.
• Be responsible for complaints management and always focus on customer satisfaction.

You will be based at our office in Duffel, Antwerp, and will be a key member of our ambitious and service-oriented team.

Profile

The ideal candidate: For this dynamic role, we are looking for a structured and solution-oriented professional who is stress-resistant and has strong organisational skills. Specific requirements are:

• 3-5 years of professional experience as a dispatcher or planner in transport or logistics.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French and English.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to think along at both operational and strategic levels.
• Flexible working hours: early, late and day shifts between 5.00 am and 7.00 pm. (5.00–13.00 / 7.00–15.00 / 8.00–16.00 / 11.00–19.00)
• Eye for detail and a proactive attitude to continuously improve internal processes.
