Business Controller
Function
As a Business Controller, you act as a bridge between finance and the operational departments. You translate figures into actionable insights that enable management to make informed decisions.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Preparing and analysing periodic management reports.
- Drawing up and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
- Analysing financial and operational KPIs and formulating improvement measures.
- Supporting the various business units with clear financial insights.
- Identifying opportunities to make processes more efficient and cost-effective.
- Carrying out profitability, project and investment analyses.
- To play an active part in the ongoing digitisation and optimisation of reporting tools.
- Working with finance, operations and management to support strategic decision-making.
Profile
For this role, we are looking for someone who likes to look beyond the figures alone.
Ideally, you should have:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a financial or economic subject.
- Initial relevant experience as a controller, auditor or financial analyst.
- Strong analytical skills and a critical eye.
- A good knowledge of Excel; experience with BI tools would be a great asset.
- An interest in process improvement and data-driven working.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to take on responsibility.
- Strong communication skills, enabling you to convey financial information clearly to various stakeholders.
