Customs Clerk

Function

Do you have a good knowledge of customs regulations (or do you wish to develop this) and do you enjoy working accurately and in a structured manner? For our client in the Zeebrugge region, we are looking for a customs clerk who ensures that customs knowledge within the organisation is always up to date and that all processes run correctly.

In this role, you will have a varied range of tasks in which you can fully deploy your expertise:

• You smoothly apply the applicable customs regulations and independently draw up the necessary customs documents.
• You thoroughly review customs instructions and ensure that these are correctly followed.
• Together with your team, you tackle a variety of customs issues and always look for the most appropriate and correct solution.
• You ensure accurate reporting to the accounting department, so that they can smoothly handle further follow-up.

Profile

Do you have a strong grasp of customs and do you enjoy thinking along? Then this challenge could very well be right up your street!

• You have a customs-related training behind you and already a few years of experience under your belt.
• If you have just graduated in the field of Supply Chain Management or Business Management, you too could be eligible.
• The customs legislation holds few secrets for you or interests you enormously and you like to keep up with the latest developments.
• You look beyond today, think ahead and respond smoothly to changes or challenges.
• You are happy to take initiative, dare to make decisions and always look for the right solution.
• You communicate fluently in the Dutch and English. A little French? That's a welcome bonus!
