Function

Some customers come in to make a bank transfer.

Others ring because they don’t understand something.

Some people are in a hurry.

Some people are unsure.

Some people just need someone who will listen quietly.

In this role, you’re often that person.

Not just “someone at the counter”, but the first familiar face at a bank branch where customers still appreciate being helped in person.

Our client is a large, well-organised bank with several branches. The counter is open every day, and you can feel it straight away: it’s a bustling place, with plenty of customer contact, and no two days are exactly the same.

You’ll assist customers at the counter, answer the phone, provide clear explanations and ensure that people leave feeling satisfied. Sometimes things move quickly. Sometimes you’ll be asked several questions at once. Even then, you’ll remain friendly, professional and calm.

Because there’s one thing they consider very important here:

The customer arriving at 4.45 pm deserves just as much attention as the customer arriving at 9 am.

Profile

There are two possible approaches.

Perhaps you’re a young professional with some initial experience in banking or insurance. Or perhaps you’ve recently completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and are keen to take your first steps in the financial sector. You enjoy working with clients and would like to progress within the sector in the long term, for example into advisory or investment roles.

Or perhaps you’ve already realised that front-of-office work really suits you. You’re not looking for a job “just for a while”, but a place where you can become a long-term part of the office and build relationships with clients.

In both cases, we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people.

Someone who can adapt to different queries, personalities and situations. Someone who remains friendly even when things get busy. Someone who doesn’t just “deal with” customers, but genuinely helps them further.

At our client’s office, you’ll find yourself in a workplace that is firmly rooted in the local community. With several branches and a service desk open every day, they are a trusted fixture for their customers. It’s never quiet here. The constant ringing of phones and the busy service desk speak for themselves, but that’s precisely what makes it so exciting.

Offer

You’ll start straight away on a permanent contract in a full-time role.

In addition, you will receive an attractive remuneration package including meal vouchers, eco-vouchers, a bonus scheme, profit-sharing, hospitalisation insurance through DKV and group insurance.

You will also receive 13 extra days’ leave on top of the statutory minimum, based on a 37.5-hour working week.

You’ll be joining a modern and welcoming office with all the support you need, both internally and externally. You won’t be on your own. You’ll receive guidance, training and colleagues who understand just how important a strong front-line service is for the whole office.
