Function

Are you administratively strong and interested in a role as a Back Office Assistant? In this position, you will support a listed company in Antwerp that is active in the control of chemical cargoes. You will be at the heart of the administrative process and ensure the flawless execution of essential back-office tasks.

  • Prepare invoices for customers according to agreed contracts.
  • Monthly reporting.
  • Completing internal systems and data management.
  • Administrative support where needed.
  • Formatting credit notes.
  • Identify discrepancies in contracts and/or procedures.
  • Monitoring the validity of current contracts in cooperation with the sales department.

You will work from an office in Antwerp equipped with modern facilities such as showers, a lunch area and picnic tables for optimal working conditions.

Profile

We are looking for someone who is administratively and communicatively strong, with a basic knowledge of invoicing and a proactive attitude. More specifically, we are looking for:

  • Basic experience or knowledge of invoicing.
  • Background knowledge of the port or chemical sector is a plus.
  • Strong in English and Dutch, both spoken and written, as both languages are used daily.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn to work quickly with new programmes.
  • Ability to travel independently to the Antwerp office as public transport is limited. The office is accessible via a good cycle path and offers ample parking with loading facilities.

Organisation

Our client is an established fixed port specialising in chemical cargo control. They are part of a listed group. The company has been experiencing solid growth for several years. The offices are located in the heart of the port and are not accessible by public transport.
