Accounting & Treasury Officer
Function
As Accounting & Treasury Officer, you divide your time approximately equally between accounting and treasury. You work closely with the Finance Manager and the Head of Treasury and support the financial follow-up of various corporate entities within the group.
Your role combines operational responsibility with analysis, reporting and process optimisation. You therefore not only look at the figures, but also actively contribute ideas on how financial processes can be made more efficient and of higher quality.
Accounting
- You analyse movements on balance sheet and income statement accounts and explain the underlying financial developments.
- You support the accounting follow-up of various corporate entities and safeguard the quality of financial data.
- You contribute to month-end and year-end closings, audit preparations and financial reporting.
- You support group reporting and non-statutory accounting, including more complex topics such as IFRS 16.
- You monitor the recharging of corporate costs to the various business units.
- You think about more efficient ways to collect, process and report financial data.
Treasury
- You monitor the cash and liquidity position of the international group.
- You support the execution of treasury payments and contribute to cash forecasting.
- You prepare treasury reports for the CFO and management.
- You assist with the optimisation of working capital and financing, including through factoring programmes and cash pools.
- You monitor intercompany financings and manage bank administration, including bank accounts, mandates and guarantees.
- You are involved in financial projects, such as refinancings and M&A transactions.
Process optimisation and finance transformation
- You identify opportunities to standardise, automate and digitalise financial processes.
- You contribute to projects relating to finance transformation, with a focus on BI and AI applications.
- You carry out ad hoc analyses in support of finance and management.
- You support auditors with queries regarding financial data and reporting.
Profile
For this role, we are looking for an analytical finance professional who enjoys combining different financial domains and has an interest in the further development of modern finance processes.
- You hold a master's degree in a financial discipline, or a bachelor's degree supplemented by several years of relevant experience.
- You have at least a first relevant experience in accounting, treasury, controlling, audit or consulting.
- You are strong in numerical analysis and able to critically assess and clearly explain financial movements.
- You work accurately, in a structured manner and with an eye for quality.
- You feel at home at the intersection of accounting, treasury, financial reporting and process optimisation.
- You have an interest in digitalisation, automation and the application of new technologies within finance.
- You have a very good knowledge of Excel. Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Experience with Power BI or AI tools is a welcome bonus, but above all your interest in learning more in this area is what matters.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch and English.
You are someone who looks beyond the figures alone and enjoys thinking about how financial processes can be improved. In doing so, you combine an analytical mindset with a hands-on mentality and the motivation to continue developing yourself.
Organisation
You will join an international services group with a strong presence in Europe and several specialised business units. The organisation combines entrepreneurship and growth with a forward-looking vision on innovation and digitalisation. Within this environment, finance plays an important role in supporting the various entities and in the further professionalisation of financial processes.
You will be part of a driven finance environment in which you collaborate with various financial specialists. The combination of accounting and treasury gives you insight into a wide range of financial processes, and you will contribute to projects that have an impact on the wider organisation. The modern office in the Kortrijk region offers a pleasant working environment where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central.
Offer
You will have the opportunity to take on a broad financial role within an international organisation, with room for in-depth content development, personal growth and process improvement.
In return, an attractive package awaits you:
- Company car: an electric company car with charging card.
- Meal vouchers: as an extra benefit on top of your salary.
- Expense allowance: a supplementary allowance for professional expenses.
- Insurance: a group insurance and hospitalisation insurance.
- Bonus plan: variable remuneration as a supplement to your salary package.
- Flexible benefits plan: the possibility to tailor benefits to your preferences, for example through additional training, extra leave or mobility options.
- Leave: 32 days of leave on a full-time basis, to be planned freely.
- Flexible working hours: flexibility to tailor your working day to your schedule.
- Hybrid working: the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.
- Growth opportunities: you will have the chance to further develop your expertise within a larger international group.
