Accountant A-Z

Function

As an A-to-Z accountant, you are responsible for the bookkeeping and financial follow-up of one or more entities within the group. You safeguard the accuracy of the figures, monitor deadlines and ensure that the financial administration is processed correctly and in full.

Your duties will include:

• You manage the complete accounting of one or more entities.
• You process and verify postings within accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR) and the general ledger (GL).
• You follow up on outstanding items, analyse discrepancies and ensure correct resolution.
• You prepare invoice payments and monitor cash flows and liquidity.
• You play an active role during monthly, quarterly and year-end closings, and deliver the required closing documents on time.
• You post accruals, provisions and cut-off entries, and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• You handle VAT returns and other tax obligations, and prepare corporate income tax returns.
• You contribute to the preparation of the annual accounts and provide support during audits by external auditors.
• You are the point of contact for accounting and financial queries within your assigned entities.
• You actively contribute ideas on the optimisation and digitalisation of financial processes.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for an experienced accountant who enjoys working independently, takes on responsibility and places importance on accurate financial follow-up.

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in accountancy, finance or an equivalent field of study.
• You have several years of experience in accounting and are ready to take on responsibility for one or more entities.
• Experience in an environment with multiple entities is an advantage.
• You have a good knowledge of Belgian GAAP and possess strong financial insight.
• You work accurately and in an organised manner, and monitor the quality and completeness of your administration.
• You have an analytical mindset and are able to detect financial discrepancies and resolve them in a targeted manner.
• You can work independently, but coordinate smoothly with colleagues and other stakeholders.
• You communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• You handle confidential financial information with discretion and integrity.
• You have good digital skills, including Office 365, and are open to further digitalisation and automation.
• You have a good command of Dutch and can get by in French.
