File Manager Accountancy
Function
Some cases are complex.
Some deadlines are tight.
And some clients ring with questions that go far beyond bookkeeping alone.
That’s all part of it.
What usually puts experienced case managers off is something else entirely.
Not enough trust.
Not enough autonomy.
Too many internal rules that make the work more difficult than it needs to be.
That is why this opportunity may be of interest.
We are looking for a Mid-level or Senior Accounting File Manager for a well-established accountancy firm with several branches.
The firm continues to grow, but has deliberately retained its personal character. With a team of around 30 colleagues, everyone still knows each other by name, doors are always open, and colleagues help one another whenever necessary.
Not a detached structure.
Not an environment where everything has to go through various intermediate steps.
It is, however, an office where trust is key and where experienced staff are given the freedom to do their jobs well in their own way.
You’ll mainly be working for SMEs and self-employed entrepreneurs. This allows you to build genuine relationships with clients and become more than just the person behind the figures.
You will develop into a trusted point of contact who guides business owners through important decisions.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- managing your own client portfolio independently;
- preparing and submitting VAT returns;
- preparing personal and corporation tax returns;
- preparing interim results and year-end accounts;
- the preparation of annual accounts;
- advising clients and contributing ideas to help them develop their business;
- monitoring deadlines and quality in your cases;
- supporting junior and less experienced colleagues where necessary.
This function goes beyond traditional file management.
You’ll be given responsibility, the chance to interact with clients and the freedom to provide genuine support to business owners.
Profile
By now, you have gained sufficient experience in accountancy to manage cases independently and provide professional support to clients.
In addition, you recognise yourself in the following:
- you have several years’ experience working in an accountancy or bookkeeping firm;
- you will manage cases independently from start to finish;
- you work accurately and in a structured way;
- you enjoy working alongside entrepreneurs;
- you communicate in a professional yet approachable manner;
- you take responsibility;
- You are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues when necessary.
An ITAA qualification is not a requirement.
If you have already obtained this qualification, or if you would like to obtain it in the future, we will of course support you in doing so.
Organisation
You’ll be joining a growing accountancy firm with several branches.
Yet it doesn’t feel like a large organisation.
The atmosphere is welcoming, colleagues are committed, and we work together in an open and collaborative way.
People enjoy working here because they are trusted, because they are listened to, and because they are given the freedom to produce high-quality work without unnecessary pressure.
The combination of professionalism, flexibility and a human touch creates a working environment where people feel comfortable in the long term.
Offer
A remuneration package is important.
But for many experienced case managers, the difference these days lies elsewhere.
Can you work independently?
Do people listen to you?
Can you produce high-quality work without constantly feeling under pressure?
These are often the factors that determine whether someone still enjoys going to work after a few years.
This firm makes a conscious effort to focus on this.
You can count on:
- a competitive salary commensurate with your experience;
- A company car with fuel card or charge card;
- €8 meal vouchers;
- group insurance;
- hospitalisation insurance that family members can also join;
- an end-of-year bonus;
- 12 days of annual leave based on a 40-hour working week;
- flexible working hours with core hours between 10am and 3pm;
- the option to work from home one day a week, and occasionally two days;
- a full-time or four-fifths position;
- limited overtime, which can always be taken as time off in lieu.
Above all, you’ll find yourself in an environment where people remain a priority.
Where trust is not just an empty promise.
And where a long-term career is more important than clocking up as many hours as possible.
Interested?
Are you wondering whether this working environment is right for you?
Please feel free to get in touch for a no-obligation and completely confidential discussion.
We’d be happy to tell you more about the firm, the team and the opportunities available.
Diversity and inclusion are important to CTRL-F.
Whoever, whatever or however you are or what you stand for, it is your talents that make the difference.
