Function

As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

  • You will be in charge of a team of motivated employees.
  • You coordinate sheet metal works for both internal and external assignments.
  • You will prepare production schedules and coordinate their implementation.
  • You also determine, in consultation, the finishing methods and supervise the consistency of the work preparation and realisation on the shop floor.
  • You are also responsible for optimising delivery times, quality and the cost-benefit ratio.

Profile

As a Workshop Manager, you will largely meet the following requirements:

  • You have a technical education or are equivalent through experience.
  • You are a born organiser who can prioritise well.
  • You are also good at motivating employees.
  • You preferably already have experience within various aspects of sheet metal working: laser cutting, punching, bending, pressing, welding and painting.
  • You succeed in making employees perform at their best.
  • You are customer-oriented both internally and externally.
  • You speak very good Dutch.

Organisation

Our client is a family business active in mechanical engineering that has existed for 100 years. They are a major player as a machine builder in the textile industry. Their customer base is mainly outside Belgium, more than 90% of their machines are for outside Europe.
They also produce their sheet metal and metalwork entirely in-house. Today, they are looking for a workshop manager for the sheet metal department.
