Technical Draughtsman

As a Technical Draftsman, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

• You will be responsible for designing and adapting technical drawings of metal structures in Autocad and Inventor.
• You will handle a variety of projects, ranging from small projects to larger ones. Always bespoke.
• Technical understanding is essential as you will be working with bending, sawing and other construction techniques.
• Apart from the design work, you will also be responsible for preparing order lists and you will be in close contact with the workshop that will work on your drawings. Project meetings with clients to coordinate drawings and designs will also be part of your responsibilities.
• You have experience or want to gain knowledge in CAD/CAM programming of LVD machines (laser cutting machine).
• You may also be called in to take measurements.

As a Technical Draftsman, you can largely tick off the requirements below:

• You already have some experience in 3D drawing, preferably in Inventor.
• Technical understanding and experience in the metal sector/construction are essential.
• Good knowledge of Dutch is required.
• You are eager to learn.
• You can work autonomously and are communicative to colleagues and customers.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential in this small, close-knit team.

Our client, with a 30-year history and 9 employees of its own, specialises in construction work within metal. They specialise in customised work for construction-related projects throughout Flanders. They have a strong focus on precast concrete formwork, where technical insight is key. Today, they are looking for a Technical Draughtsman/Designer to join their team.
