Robotics Senior Electrical & Systems Engineer

As a Robotics Senior Electrical & Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the research and development of control components and complete robot shuttles. This includes conceptualising, designing, engineering and testing new prototype components and complete systems. Below is a sample of your range of tasks:

• You will evaluate current automated warehouse solutions based on performance, downtime, technical specifications,...
• You discuss with colleagues's (R&D, Service, Test & Validation,...) areas of improvement of the products.
• You take the lead in R&D activities related to control components and the fully functioning product.
• You develop a Proof of Concept (PoC) and plan a timetable with the necessary deadlines.
• You will develop a schematic design of robot shuttles in Eplan.
• You will be responsible for the selection and nomination of control components (sensors, drives, HMI, etc.).
• You are responsible for component selection and calculations.
• You will work with mechanical and electronics specialists to design a complete, mechatronic solution.
• You will create complete production files (BOM's, (harness) schematics's, data sheets).
• Manage design states and revisions in the PDM package.
• You will discuss test specifications and set-ups with the Test & Validation team.
• You will be responsible for (following up on) testing and troubleshooting product prototypes.
• You review reports on prototype testing and adjust the PoC accordingly.
• You cooperate with the production engineer regarding assembly instructions for the production workers.
• You stay abreast of new market trends in your field.

As a Robotics Senior Electrical & Systems Engineer, you will largely meet the requirements below:

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation or a related field.
• You have at least 8 years' experience in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, automation, machinery or aerospace.
• Notions of functional safety, performance levels, risk analysis and Sistema.
• Your expertise is mainly in the field of controls, but you also have a keen interest in the full product picture, including mechanical design and software.
• You are an autonomous team player.
• English is a must (C1 or above).
• Knowledge of Dutch is recommended.
