Project Manager

Our client located in the Port of Antwerp is looking for a project manager. They operate within the chemical and maritime sector.

Your duties as a project manager will look like this:

• You visit customers and analyse needs. 
• After this visit, you will consult internally with the team to offer the best solution to the customer.
• You plan, organise and follow up projects from A to Z.
• You will coordinate daily activities and ensure positive cooperation between the project team, administration, planning and operators.
• You identify risk's and take proactive measures to prevent problems.
• You report to management on project progress, results and any deviations.

This company active in the chemical and maritime sectors is 10 years old. They passed into the hands of a US group in 2019 but they definitely haven't lost their individuality in the process. They are currently growing strongly and are looking to expand even further by next year. This company provides services to the chemical and maritime sectors such as degassing, pipeline testing and equipment rental. They also pioneer cryogenic degassing applications. The projects are always tailor-made, depending on the customer's demand. Their customers are largely located in the Port of Antwerp.

As a project manager, you have the following requirements:

• You obtained a bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field (electromechanics, chemistry, etc.).
• Experience in a Project Manager position is an advantage, but not a must.
• You speak good Dutch and English.
• You can organise and plan well.
• You have the ability to motivate and lead a team.
• You are analytically strong and can problem-solve.
• You are stress-resistant and flexible towards working hours (always by agreement).
• You have a solid hands-on mentality.
