Maintenance Engineer

As a Maintenance/Automation Engineer, you will analyse, recommend and implement improvements or changes to the instrumentation and control processes required to optimise or adapt this company's production process.

You will also be present on the production floor to find out exactly where the problem is occurring and what could be causing it in case of breakdowns/failures.

RESPONSIBILITY:

• Analyse and propose alternatives to adapt or expand the instrumentation and control system required for production optimisation.
• Participating in and leading shift meetings.
• Assist in analysing defects and investigating the cause.
• This also includes hands-on tasks in, in the production environment.
• Implement programming logic and required equipment changes.
• Oversee the proper use of the resources under your care, seeking to maximise their efficiency, care and longevity.
• Ensure the application of the controls of Safety and Environmental Care required to perform the tasks.
• Ensure proper use of assigned tools and equipment.
• Oversee the correct execution of contractors' work and in accordance with company procedures.
• Prevent repetitive errors from PLCs, robots and drives.
• Provide the strongest solutions.
• Provide support for both electrical and mechanical faults in production.
• Creating updated backups of PLC, robots and drives.

As a Maintenance Engineer you have:

• More than 3 years of experience in production/maintenance related positions.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an automation department making improvements and focusing on the efficiency of the machines.
• Advanced skills in electricity, medium voltage, high voltage.
• Knowledge of mechanics.
• Advanced skills in PLC and robots (Kuka, ABB).
• Good knowledge of 5S.
• You are fluent in English.
• The capacity to work fluently in a team.
• Able to solve problems fast and efficiently.
• Hands-on mentality.
• Knowledge and experience with ndustrial instrumentation (sensors and actuators).
• Understand and design electrical drawings and P&ID diagrams.
