Function

As Junior Construction Manager, you will support project teams in the construction of renewable energy projects (such as solar farms, wind turbines and energy storage systems). You will work closely with the Senior Construction Manager and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of project execution, from planning to delivery. You will start as an assistant and gradually take on more responsibility as you grow in the role.


Your responsibilities:

  • Support the Construction Manager in the day-to-day coordination of construction projects.
  • Assist in preparing project plans, budgets and timelines.
  • Assist in directing subcontractors, suppliers and construction teams.
  • Oversee the progress of construction sites to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and that all activities meet HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) standards.
  • Provide timely and clear updates on project status and any issues to project management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineering and procurement, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Training and advancement opportunities towards the role of Construction Manager, where you will be responsible for leading large-scale construction projects.

Profile

You are/have...

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Energy Management, Electromechanics, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Interest in and/or (basic) knowledge of the renewable energy sector.
  • affinity with project management and construction processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to function well in a team environment.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and building regulations is a plus, but can also be learned on the job.
  • flexible to (eventually) visit project sites in Belgium and/or internationally.
  • fluent in Dutch, French & English
