International Service Engineer

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

• You will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, inspection, preparation, assembly, disassembly and commissioning of projects at international customers. For this, you travel practically continuously.
• You are attentive and can gather information on required spare parts and future services. You update the lists of use and replacement parts for preventive servicing.
• You closely monitor costs and number of working hours and correctly complete expense and service reports to ensure complete invoicing and inform the customer.
• You provide or organise the necessary materials, tools and procedures before leaving on intervention.
• You launch price requests or quotations for additional works or parts.
• You will contribute to a positive and recognisable corporate image and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• You follow internal procedures and actively collaborate on improvements yourself.
• You prepare NDT tests and pressure tests.
• You test the machines off take them into service.
• You build and adjust machine parts.
• You ensure that everything is carried out according to applicable standards and quality requirements.
• You will train operators and maintenance staff on site.
• You report to the project engineer regarding the operation and progress of the installation.
• You report to the service manager and communicate with him/her about deviating work schedules, problems, escalations, opportunities,...)

As a Service Engineer, you will largely meet the following requirements:

• You have a technical bachelor or TSO degree (electromechanics, electrical engineering,...) or are equivalent through experience.
• You have good technical knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, electricity, pneumatics, cooling water systems, mechanics.
• You have a solid knowledge of machine controls.
• You can read and interpret drawings fluently.
• You have good material and product knowledge.
• You have strong technical logic and are creative in coming up with solutions.
• You are able to make error analyses.
• You can work well with MS Office, ERP packages,...
• You speak very good Dutch and English. Knowledge of French and/or German is a plus.
• You are very customer-oriented and can maintain relationships well.
• You are a smooth communicator both with colleagues and customers.
• You are hands-on and have good practical insight.
• You are stress-resistant and work efficiently and quality-oriented.
• You can cope with deadlines and work in a well-organised and orderly manner.
• You can work very well independently.
