Technical Service Engineer

As a technical service engineer, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

• You will be responsible for the preventive and curative maintenance of the automated machinery.
• You are able to solve breakdowns thoughtfully, quickly and efficiently.
• You will be responsible for performing preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• You will gather technical information about our installations, share this knowledge with the team and make suggestions for improvement where necessary.
• You will actively participate in projects defined in the multi-year plan.
• You will help design and maintain the internal SCADA system.
• You update plans in Eplan and Autocad.
• You will participate in on-call duties (every 3 weeks).

As a technical service engineer, you largely meet the following requirements:

• You have obtained a technical bachelor's degree such as electromechanics, maintenance technology or are equivalent through experience.
• You have an interest and/or knowledge of automated productions.
• You have knowledge of troubleshooting.
• You have strong safety awareness and a sense of quality, order and cleanliness.
• You have knowledge of or are willing to learn about Eplan, Autocad and SCADA (Ignition).
• You are a team player and enjoy being hands-on on the shop floor.
• You can also do your work independently.
• You are eager to learn and enjoy sharing your knowledge and ideas to come up with better solutions.
• You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and English.
• You are willing to work in a 2-shift system (5am-1pm - 1pm-21pm).
• You are willing to participate in on-call duties for which you will be compensated extra.

Our client is active in high-quality technical textiles for applications in various sectors. They have several production facilities in Europe and total some 400 employees. For the Zele site, where the head office is also located, they are currently looking for reinforcement in the technical department. They have a total of 90 employees in Zele and you will be working in the technical department with a team of 10 colleagues. The machinery is also highly automated. You will work 2 shifts as a technical service engineer as part of further growth of the company.
