GL Accountant

We are currently looking for a GL Accountant to join our client's finance team in the Geel region. As a GL Accountant, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Working out and following up on commissions and standby accounts.
• Preparing payroll entries.
• Preparation of VAT declaration, intrastat declaration, IC declaration...
• Mapping procedures and providing support during various projects.
• Close collaboration with colleagues's in accounting and the team lead accounting.
• Function as back-up for colleagues's in accounting, assisting with supplier accounting, customer accounting and general accounting as required. This is mainly during absences or busy periods.
• As back-up, you will also be involved in preparing payments and bank transactions, managing debtors and handling mailbox and telephony.

For the role of GL Accountant, we are looking for someone with the following profile:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a finance or accounting discipline.
• You have proven experience as a GL Accountant or within full accounting.
• You have extensive knowledge in the field of taxation.
• A sense of responsibility and a focus on results are among your strong attributes.
• You are proficient in the use of software programmes's, especially accounting packages and ERP systems.
• You can express yourself professionally in Dutch; knowledge of French and English is a plus.

We are currently looking for a GL Accountant to join the finance team for our client within the automotive sector in the Geel region. As a GL Accountant, you will join a team of around 6 people. The company itself has a wide selection of different quality brands in stock, about which experts can give the necessary personal advice. In addition, they have their own technical workshop for maintenance and repairs. Various accessories are also sold and installed there.
