Electrical Utilities Engineer
Function
As Electrical Utilities Engineer (Medium Voltage and Low Voltage), you will be part of our project team and, together with your colleagues's, you will be responsible for the realisation of medium voltage and low voltage installations. - Realise the design and manage the various aspects related to MV and LV substation studies:
- Have good knowledge or be willing to acquire knowledge required for specific project needs related to Electrical System Calculations, static and dynamic, e.g.
- Load current / short circuit / motor start / battery / transient and harmonic calculations; Insulation coordination; protection coordination and selectivity studies; electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and ampacity calculation of MV and LV cables; sizing of parameters of power transformers (ratio, power, Ucc,....); VT/CVT/CT core sizing for metering transformers; lightning conductor/filter/capacitor banks and reactor sizing; sizing of earth grid for substations and lightning protection systems;
Have knowledge of using the following simulation and dimensioning software: DigSilent, SKM Power Tools, ETAP, EMTP-RV, ELEC CALC, CYMCAP and be willing to acquire in-depth knowledge of these tools.
- Design of single-wire electrical schematics's (HV, MV and LV).
- Interpreting calculation results and writing calculation notes and reports, as well as managing technical follow-up
- Participate in draft schemes.
- Realise post-incident/accident analysis within electrical grids to assess the origin of incidents/accidents.

Profile
- A master's degree in industrial engineering or a master's degree in engineering sciences (or equivalent through proven experience) with preference in Electrical Power Systems and at least 5 years' experience in the field of Transmission and Distribution Systems, in the process industry.
- Good knowledge of electrical engineering system modelling, as well as the theoretical background of electrical engineering systems and equipment
- Strong communication skills with all stakeholders in Dutch and English (oral and written), Turkish is a plus
