As construction supervisor, you are the ears and eyes of the Project Manager on site

You are responsible for on-site and administrative follow-up of all construction activities, taking into account safety, quality, planning and costs. The Construction Supervisor works in tandem with the Project Manager.

- Responsibility for monitoring daily construction work and providing hands-on supervision to contractors on site;

- Attend daily update meetings;

- Daily reporting of civil works to the project manager;

- Single Point of Contact (SPOC) on-site, in constant contact with contractors, internal project manager and stakeholders to ensure all executions meet contractual agreements;

- Guarantee deadlines by working closely with the project manager, where you will be his eyes and ears during execution;

- Intensive contact with electrical installations, IT infrastructure, tracks and cranes during projects;

- Check of monthly interim billing of (sub)contractors;

- Ensure safe execution of work on site by conducting personal inspection rounds and holding safety meetings with contractors;

- Reporting to the Project Manager.

Ciner Glass Ltd. is the UK-based holding company for the global container glass operations of the Ciner Group, a large industrial conglomerate founded in 1978, based in Turkey and owned by Mr Turgay Ciner.

Ciner Glass started its first production in Bilecik Bozüyük in 2013 and now produces 2.4 billion bottles a year. As the best glass packaging plant in Turkey, it started looking for new investments to continue this success globally.

In 2018, Ciner Glass decided to expand its operations globally. Our aim is to expand our presence in the Turkish, UK, European and US markets with the first step being the development of our production facility in Lommel, fully operational with 2 furnaces (470,000 tonnes annual capacity) by the end of 2026. The state-of-the-art and automated machinery is being prepared to employ more than 500 workers when production is fully operational.

- Master's degree in industrial or civil engineering or equivalent through experience.

- Proven expertise with large multi-disciplinary construction sites and projects where you have played a key role in working with various contractor and subcontractors in project management.

- Experience with civil construction works as well as local and laws and regulations are an absolute must.

- Experience in pile driving is a plus.

- Working from a structured and project-based approach is your second nature.

- Strong in communication with all stakeholders in both Dutch and English. Turkish is a plus.

- You have a strong drive to succeed and work independently, solution-oriented and proactive.

- Be able to function in a team that together realises the entire project.

- Possess a systematic analytical approach with a keen sense of responsibility towards project finance, project planning and knowledge sharing with colleagues in general. You are customer-oriented and know how to inform your stakeholders correctly.
