Function

As an Electromechanical Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

  • You will collaborate on the engineering of production lines, individual machines, industrial sites and their utilities.
  • You will analyse existing complex production lines and improve them to make them safer.
  • You will assist customers to get their unique production lines towards CE certification or at least reduce the biggest risks's.
  • You use your automation experience to verify, re-engineer and validate (safety) controls. 
  • You will be calculating, validating and re-engineering various things together with colleagues's and software such as performance levels, switch-off matrices, cable calculations,...
  • You delve into new machinery regulations and other technical legislation/standards.
  • You help me set out the chalk lines for innovations such as OT cybersecurity service delivery,...
  • You are open to going abroad occasionally for site visits, FAT and/or SAT.
  • You will work closely with the process engineers for machine lines with process risk's and think about chemical process controls (BPCS) and functional safety as part of process engineering.
  • You will deliver quality work thanks to the support of your colleagues's and the internal structured approach.

As an Electromechanical Safety Engineer, you can largely tick off the items below:

  • You are eager to learn, analytical, structured and accurate in your work.
  • You have knowledge and/or experience within automation.

Our client is a service provider in the industrial world that provides support in the realisation and exploitation of investment projects. They carry out analyses, basic engineering, detailed engineering and realisations in very diverse sectors (food, pharma, energy, manufacturing, etc.).
As an independent specialist, they offer pragmatic and quality engineering solutions for industrial processes, utilities, energy and logistics. They specialise in chemical process technology and process safety, electromechanical production lines and machine compliance as well as within utilities and electrification.
They are a smaller SME with a strong team and a fun working atmosphere. There is often teamwork where everyone complements each other well. They put very strong emphasis on coaching, mentoring and training (internal and external). To expand their team, they are currently looking for an Electromechanical Safety Engineer.
