For the position of Architectural Assistant, you will have coordinating tasks as well as responsibility for managing the entire project documentation.

You will maintain contact with various parties in this role: clients, the drawing and design office abroad, municipalities,...

File management

• You manage the dossier from the request stage of the project. To this end, you are in close contact with the design and drawing office abroad and coordinate the team in order to achieve a correct design.
• You do not have to make any designs yourself, this is done by the office.
• Statements of measurements are provided by your own office, but must be checked.
• You apply for building licences from the city hall.
• In short, full file management up to execution.

Coordination design office;

• You maintain regular contact with the office and brief them on the design to be provided.
• Accurate checking and evaluation of the received designs as well as execution plans is essential in this process.

Contact with third parties;

• Preparation and submission of licence applications to the city hall as well as communication with the relevant departments.
• You communicate actively with clients including contractors and project promoters.
• You also request tenders for various project phases including stability studies, EPB, engineering techniques, etc.
• You check the tenders received for correctness and decide which party to work with.

For our client, we are looking for an Architectural Assistant to partly take on a coordinating role combined with dossier management.

The architectural firm is mainly active in residential construction and large flat complexes.

Not only orientation, functionality, light and space play a prominent role, but also the intense connection with the surroundings gets a lot of attention.

An integral approach from inside to outside and vice versa is pursued.

Work is often done for project developers as well as contractors.

For the Architectural Assistant position, we are looking for someone with the following qualities;

• You have a master's degree in Architecture/Construction, with initial work experience in a similar position.
• Or possess a Bachelor's degree with min. 3 years' experience as an Assistant Architect.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary.
• Good knowledge of English and Dutch are necessary, if knowledge of Bulgarian is a plus.
• You have strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Experience with building regulations and building licence applications are necessary.
• You have the ability to quickly capture and process a large amount of information.
