As a future 'Bookkeeper' within this organisation in the region of Heist-op-den-Berg, you will be responsible for an extensive range of tasks. Think about the following:

• Entry of purchase and sales invoices.
• Entry of cash and bank transactions.
• Provide support with monthly and year-end closures.
• Preparing and filing VAT returns.
• You are responsible for debtor management.
• You support within monthly remuneration.
• You will help think about possible optimisation processes.

In all this, you will work closely with the Financial & Business Controller.

We are currently looking for a 'Bookkeeper' to join the team for this organisation in the region of Heist-op-den-Berg. Together with the Controller, you will be responsible for the financial and accounting part of the organisation. The organisation itself focuses on the manufacturing industry.

To fill this role of Bookkeeper, we are looking for the person who recognises themselves in the following:

• You obtained a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (accountancy/accountancy) or equivalent.
• You have managed to build up an initial experience of several years in an accounting role. Consider experience in an accounting firm or other business.
• You are familiar with Belgian accounting legislation.
• You know your way around Excel fluently and you have quickly mastered an ERP programme.
• You are fluent in Dutch and a word of English. You also have a basic knowledge of German or are willing to learn it.
• You are by nature someone who can handle information discreetly.
