Project Manager

As project manager, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

• You will be responsible for the coordination and execution of one or more construction projects from preparation to provisional handover.
• To this end, you will work closely with subcontractors and internal staff.
• You take care of the study of execution methods, contract formation with subcontractors and suppliers.
• You ensure efficient planning of the sites.
• You will also act as the first point of contact for both internal employees and external parties.
• You are responsible for the financial follow-up of the construction project and oversee the execution deadline
• You will control and monitor the progress of works (including site meetings), consulting with the construction management, colleagues, subcontractors and suppliers.
• You will report directly to management and be responsible for quality assurance and budget management.
• You work largely from the office, but can also often be found on site. Most projects are located in the Waasland-Antwerp-Brussels region.

As a project manager, you largely meet the following requirements:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a construction-related field or are equivalent through experience.
• Preferably, you have at least 3 years of working experience within the construction industry.
• You speak very good Dutch. Knowledge of French and/or English is a plus.
• You have strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• You are a team player who can work well together in a close-knit and professional team.
• You demonstrate independence and responsibility, can work with deadlines and have an eye for detail.
• You can work well with standard MS Office applications, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) is a plus.

Our client is a class 5 construction company in the Lokeren region that focuses mainly on total projects from structural work to general finishing. They are mainly active in public works, but also have clients in the private sector. Currently, they have about 26 employees of their own. To strengthen their team, they are currently looking for a project manager.

As a project manager, you will join a pleasant company with short lines of communication. You will work closely with 5 other project leaders and can also count on their support at all times.

You will work a 40-hour week which entitles you to 12 ADV days on top of your statutory leave. As you work in a construction company, you will also follow construction leave.
