Production Manager

For the position of production manager in Essen, you will be responsible for the daily production planning and monitoring of custom-made machines. You will report directly to the plant manager.

• Preparation of long- and short-term planning, including production and engineering deadlines.
• Preparing production covers and communicating with warehouse for supply of materials.
• Management of infrastructure and materials, including curative and preventive maintenance.
• Management of welding processes and welder inspections, responsible for pressure testing and X-ray examinations.
• Control of project flow and timesheets.
• Weekly start-up in collaboration with the foreman.
• Day-to-day filling of staff on the production floor and coordination with the engineering team.

For this position, we are looking for the following profile:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar role.
• Knowledge of production processes and planning techniques.
• Leadership experience and skill in managing technicians and warehouse staff.
• Proficient in organising curative and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with welding and related procedures.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to prioritise in a dynamic environment.

Our client in Essen is a machine builder specialising in industrial cleaners both customised and standard installations. They have a large workshop/production where these machines are made on large trucks. Essen is home to their Engineering department and production, the other services are located at their parent company in the Kempen region.
