Planner/Calculator

Function

As a Calculator/Work Planner, you will play a crucial role within the Lokeren and Temse workshops.

You are the connecting link between sales, operations and production, ensuring flawless administrative and technical preparation of each project. This includes:

• Translating sales files into production files.
• Performing technical area calculations.
• Communication with customers and carriers for optimal logistics internally and externally.
• Request orders for required materials.
• Ensure quality reports and all necessary documentation for invoicing.
• Provide support for tenders and quality checks such as scratch tests and thickness measurements.
• Occasionally attend customer visits and events.

You will mainly work from Lokeren, but sporadically you will also work in Temse.

Profile

For this challenging position, we are looking for a driven professional with a passion for quality and organisation. Your profile:

• At least a first experience, preferably in a technical environment.
• Technical understanding and ability to read technical drawings and plans.
• Administratively strong and cost-conscious, with good planning skills.
• Customer-oriented, stress-resistant and flexible.
• Fluent in Dutch. Knowledge of English and French is a plus.
• Knowledge of MS Office and computer literate.
• Knowledge of industrial blasting, painting, and coating works is an asset.
• Experience in the steel sector is a plus.
• Possession of a VCA certificate is an added advantage.

Organisation

Our client is active in industrial surface treatment and industrial painting. They carry out their assignments both in their own workshops in Lokeren and Temse and on site at customers' premises (industrial shipyards). The company mainly focuses on customers in the industrial, petrochemical and construction sectors. Thanks to their specialised expertise, they offer a wide range of services, including:

• Industrial surface treatment: blasting, metallisation and coating of steel for corrosion protection
• Protective coatings: including fire-retardant and abrasion-resistant coatings
• Industrial painting

Currently, the company has about 35 in-house employees. Due to growth, they are currently looking to strengthen the team within work preparation and calculation.
