Water clerk

Function

As a water clerk, you will possess the following qualities:

• You are flexible and do not have a 9-5 mentality;
• You are stress-resistant and independent;
• You are willing to work irregularly in a rotating system for evening, night and weekend shifts;
• You are comfortable with various IT applications including SAP;
• You are sociable and representative;
• You have a bachelor's degree in logistics/maritime or by experience;
• You hold a valid driving licence;
• You are fluent in NL and ENG.

Profile

As a Water Clerk, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks:

• You coordinate activities in between;
• You will also provide information to the ship's owner and sort out the ship's needs;
• You will take care of communication to various agencies within the port, to ensure the ship's docking and sailing is successful;
• You will take care of administration and various formalities, such as clearing ships in and out, board visits while ships are in port, preparing documentation, checking accounts and liaising with the financial administration;
• You will handle daily communication with principals, customs, stowaways, shipping company inspectors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
