Transport planner
Function
As Transport planner You’re a bit like the traffic controller for day-to-day operations. You make sure that the drivers know where they need to be, that projects run smoothly and that that everything is properly followed up on from an administrative point of view.
Specifically:
- You do it every day smart and efficient planning, where your geographical awareness will come in very handy
- Your coordinates the assignments and communicates be clear with the drivers
- You follow the schedule to the letter and make adjustments when reality throws a spanner in the works
- You take a administrative aspect Your responsibilities will include: preparing invoices, assisting with payroll administration, managing the weighbridge, ….
- You work with on a daily basis Navision.
- You follow the workings of the on-board computers on and also know at minor technical issues to find a solution quickly.
- You actively contribute ideas on how the planning could be further improved smarter and more efficiently can
- You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to new projects and improvements within our client’s organisation
In short: a varied role that combines planning, administration, communication and problem-solving. And above all: a role where your work makes a tangible difference every day.
Profile
Our client is looking for not a robot who just ticks off tasks on a schedule! Someone who actually ohas a good overview, takes the initiative and is keen to roll up their sleeves.
You recognise yourself in the following:
- You have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- You have a a bachelor’s or graduate diploma, or equivalent through experience
- Planning and organising come naturally to you, and you have a sa good sense of geography.
- You work accurate and structured, but you can also adapt quickly when plans suddenly change.
- You communicate fluently in the Dutch and have a basic knowledge of French.
- New systems and tools don’t put you off. Experience with Navision is a nice bonus.
- Do you have experience managing people? That’s a real bonus!
- Ideally, you live in the Ypres region or is really keen to start working there.
