Transport planner

Function

As a transport planner, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

• You assess transport requests and look for the best solution for each assignment.
• You select suitable transport partners and make clear agreements on price, quality and availability.
• You follow transport assignments from start to finish and keep all parties involved informed.
• You ensure that transport files are kept up to date correctly and are in good administrative order.
• You handle problems, complaints and unexpected situations in a practical and client-focused manner.
• You monitor the costs and revenues of your files and identify where there is room for improvement.
• You work closely with various colleagues and departments to assist clients as effectively as possible.
• You think along about how the day-to-day operations can run more smoothly and efficiently.

Profile

As a transport planner, do you possess the following capabilities?

• You preferably already have some experience in a logistics or transport-related role.
• You are well organised and always able to maintain a clear overview.
• You communicate in a smooth and professional manner with various stakeholders.
• You have a commercial mindset, think proactively and enjoy finding practical solutions.
• You work accurately and have an eye for correct administration.
• You remain calm under pressure and know how to prioritise effectively.
• You are happy to take initiative and think along about how things can be done better or more efficiently.
• You speak French and English fluently. Knowledge of Dutch is a welcome bonus.
