Transport planner

Function

For the job of transport planner You are the key link for all import and export consignments:

• You will be responsible for the overall coordination, organisation and administrative follow-up of logistics assignments;
• You will coordinate quotations, orders and transport planning worldwide and, where necessary, select the most suitable freight forwarder or carrier for each region or type of consignment;
• Thanks to your flexibility, you are able to respond quickly to changes and adjust deliveries where necessary, always with a view to providing the best possible customer-focused service;
• You will draw up transport and freight documents, check invoices carefully and ensure that all administrative tasks are processed accurately and on time;
• You will maintain close daily contact with hauliers and play an active part in ensuring the efficient and continuous improvement of the transport flow;
• You will keep up to date with regional regulations on imports and exports and gain a deeper understanding of them where necessary.

Profile

Are you the transport planner what we are looking for?

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and have relevant experience in transport planning – preferably at a manufacturing company;
• You are able to communicate fluently, both verbally and in writing, in Dutch and English;
• You have an analytical mind and combine this with a practical, hands-on approach;
• You work in a structured and organised manner and with administrative precision;
• You are proactive, enterprising and a strong negotiator;
• You keep a close eye on deadlines and are able to maintain a clear overview even in stressful situations.
