Tender Engineer Large Projects
Function
How do you turn a tender dossier into a strong execution plan?
- As a Tender Engineer Large Projects, you help shape complex building projects with significant technical and societal impact even before the first day on site.
- During the tender phase, you collaborate with the estimating team to develop construction methodologies that are technically sound and practically feasible.
- You translate specifications and client requirements into a clear plan of approach, with concrete execution methods, schedules, phasing plans, and manpower planning.
- Plant and equipment deployment, site installations, formwork methodologies, and logistical choices are developed into a coherent proposal that strengthens the feasibility of the project.
- You translate technical ideas into clear information for internal teams, clients, and the tender dossier, ensuring all parties involved share the same vision for execution.
- Even after the award, you remain involved: for projects in execution, you draw up work plans, refine existing plans, and support construction sites with their planning follow-up.
- You monitor the connection between the tender, preparation, and execution phases, helping to detect risks early and start projects efficiently.
- Working from the office in Neder-over-Heembeek, you collaborate with various experts; in addition, you are present on construction sites across Flanders.
Profile
Are you technically strong and familiar with complex construction projects?
- You hold a master's degree in civil engineering.

- Experience with tenders, procurement processes, or the preparation of large construction projects will help you add value quickly as a Tender Engineer Large Projects.
- You work proficiently with MS Project and/or Primavera and are familiar with the principles of Lean planning methodologies; you apply this knowledge to build realistic schedules and construction phasing plans.
- Structure, accuracy, and organisation are important, as you need to bring together diverse technical, financial, and operational information into one workable approach.
- You combine autonomy with a sense of responsibility and communicate clearly with estimators, project teams, construction sites, clients, and other partners. Strong communication skills in Dutch are essential; a basic knowledge of French is an advantage.
