TEKLA Draughtsman

Function

As TEKLA Draughtsman at our client at Hoogstraten you will play a key role in translating design into construction. You will contribute to challenging projects in the commercial and industrial construction sectors and ensure that architectural, structural and construction plans are converted into an accurate and technically sound 3D model in Tekla Structures.

In this role, you will work closely with the senior work planner, the project manager, the design office and external partners. You will support the entire process, from modelling to production and working drawings, with a particular focus on quality, coordination and efficiency. Thanks to your technical insight and eye for detail, you will contribute to the smooth and accurate management of projects from start to finish.

• You analyse architectural plans and translate them into a fully coordinated BIM construction model.
• You will model precast concrete elements, reinforcement, formwork, fixings and other structural components.
• You will produce production, assembly and working drawings based on the model.
• You draw up bills of materials and parts lists, and ensure that the documents are kept up to date.
• You will carry out model checks and clash checks in collaboration with other disciplines.
• You’ll actively contribute ideas on how to optimise work planning, modelling and implementation.
• You will ensure effective coordination between design, engineering, production and the construction site.

Profile

For this role as TEKLA Draughtsman We are looking for a motivated candidate with a keen interest in structural engineering and BIM. You do not need to be an expert in Tekla Structures just yet, but you do need the ambition to develop quickly within a technically challenging environment in Hoogstraten.

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a graduate diploma in architectural draughtsmanship or an equivalent technical qualification.
• You have strong technical and spatial awareness and work with precision.
• You are able to interpret architectural plans and 3D models with ease and convert them into construction models.
• You are interested in BIM working methods and digital modelling techniques.
• You enjoy working as part of a team and communicate easily with the various parties involved.
• You are keen to learn, analytical and solution-oriented.
• Experience with Tekla Structures is a bonus, but not essential.
• Knowledge of, or an interest in, precast concrete, steel and timber structures would be an advantage.
