Technical trainer
Function
- As a Technical Trainer, you guide and coach production operators during their training, so that they can work safely, independently and with a focus on quality.
- You familiarise new employees with machines, working methods and production agreements; you help existing operators to further develop their technical knowledge.
- You deliver training based on training plans and monitor progress. This ensures everyone knows which skills are present and where additional support is needed.
- In the event of process disruptions, you are an important point of contact on the shop floor. You analyse the situation, help steer things in the right direction and involve the appropriate colleagues when necessary.
- Safety, quality, ergonomics and environmentally conscious working form the common thread throughout your approach. You make these themes tangible during day-to-day production.
- As a technical coach, you co-lead improvement actions and actively participate in improvement teams. You translate ideas from practice into feasible adjustments to the production process.
- During a shift, you coordinate production when the shift leader is absent. You maintain an overview, align with colleagues and support operators with priorities.
- You work from the production environment, in a two-shift system with an early and a late shift, within an internationally active and financially stable industrial organisation.
Profile
- Some initial experience in a production environment is important; experience with metalworking or technical components is an advantage, but not an absolute requirement.
- Technical insight and an interest in production processes help you to guide operators clearly and approach faults logically.
- You work proactively and analytically, with attention to safety and quality. That mindset ensures that you not only resolve problems, but also help prevent them.
- Knowledge of lean techniques, digital reporting and MS Office is welcome. You do not need to have mastered everything already: an eagerness to learn and a willingness to develop make all the difference.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing, as you must be able to convey training, reports and technical information clearly. You are willing to work in two shifts.
