Technical Team Lead

Function

• As team lead for lorries, you coordinate the day-to-day activities in the workshop in Anderlecht.
• You oversee the planning, distribute assignments and meticulously follow up on agreed arrangements.
• You are the first point of contact for the mechanics and assist them with technical questions, work organisation and customer-focused follow-up.
• Drawing on your experience in lorry mechanics, you support the team with maintenance and repair work and contribute to the smooth running of the workshop.
• You actively monitor the quality, safety and progress of the work.
• You quickly detect minor faults or bottlenecks within the work process and endeavour to resolve them efficiently.
• When an issue has a greater impact, you report it to the workshop manager.
• As team leader, you guide and motivate the mechanics, with a focus on collaboration, accountability and professional customer service.
• In addition to operational coordination, you also handle straightforward administrative tasks, ensuring that work orders, appointments and follow-ups are processed correctly.

Profile

• You hold a higher education qualification in automotive mechanics or have built up equivalent technical expertise through relevant experience.
• A good knowledge of the maintenance and repair of lorries is important.
• With 3 to 5 years of experience in lorry mechanics or a comparable technical environment, you understand the daily challenges of a workshop and are able to support a team from a content perspective.
• You work professionally and punctually, maintain an overview when planning changes and communicate calmly and clearly with mechanics, colleagues and clients.
• A sense of responsibility and initiative help you to address problems without delay, take timely action and inform the right person when additional support is needed.
• For collaboration with clients and colleagues, you speak Dutch and French.
• A CE driving licence is an advantage, but not a requirement.
