Technical Draughtsman

Function

As a Technical Draughtsman in Eksaarde, you will contribute to technical designs for bespoke steel structures and pipework within heavy industry. You will translate concepts, measurements and site data into clear workshop drawings and support projects from design through to implementation.

You combine drafting with a practical approach and regularly switch between the office and the workshop. By working closely with welders, mechanics and project colleagues, you ensure that your designs are both technically sound and feasible.

Your tasks:

• Developing and detailing steel structures and piping solutions.
• Preparation of working drawings and construction plans.
• Carrying out basic measurements and assisting with 3D scans on site.
• Consult with the studio regarding technical feasibility and implementation.
• Supporting projects in the fields of bespoke work, metal structures and pipework.
• Monitoring the accuracy, quality and practical applicability of the designs

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a technically skilled and eager-to-learn draughtsman with an interest in steel structures and industrial applications. You have good spatial awareness, work with precision and find it fascinating to create designs that are actually put into practice.

Your profile:

• You have a technical qualification (e.g. in mechanics, electromechanics or construction) or possess equivalent knowledge and experience.
• You have experience in technical drawing or a similar technical role.
• You have knowledge of CAD software such as Tekla Structures, Inventor or AutoCAD.
• You can interpret technical information and translate it into clear drawings.
• You work in a structured and meticulous manner and communicate effectively with colleagues in the workshop and technical departments.
• You are willing to carry out on-site measurements from time to time.
• Experience with steel structures, pipework or industrial projects is an advantage.

A hands-on approach, technical curiosity and the motivation to keep learning are more important than an extensive CV.
