Technical and Commercial Estimator – Electrical Engineering

Function

As a Technical Sales Estimator for Electrical Engineering, you act as the technical link between the client, suppliers and the implementation team. You analyse projects, draw up quotations and help to develop the most suitable technical solution for each client. You work closely with engineers and project managers and monitor projects from start to finish.

As a Technical Sales Estimator for Electrical Engineering, you will be responsible for:

• Analysing specifications, plans and technical dossiers
• Preparing and drawing up quotations
• Identifying the appropriate technical solutions and materials
• Carrying out site visits for technically challenging projects
• Maintaining contact with customers, suppliers and engineering consultancies
• Supporting commercial negotiations
• Helping to manage work planning and procurement
• Attend site meetings as required
• Working closely with the operations team and the technicians
• Ensuring that quotations are technically accurate and commercially strong

Profile

For the role of Technical Sales Estimator (Electrical Engineering), we are looking for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys working closely with clients and derives satisfaction from developing technical proposals. You combine analytical insight with a client-focused approach.

For this role as a Technical Commercial Estimator in Electrical Engineering, you should ideally have:

• A technical qualification in electrical engineering, electromechanics or energy technology, or equivalent through experience
• Experience in cost estimation, work planning, project preparation or a technical sales support role is a major asset
• Knowledge of electrical installations
• Technical insight and the ability to interpret plans and specifications
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
• A precise and structured approach to work
• A proactive attitude and a sense of responsibility
• Good knowledge of MS Office; experience with cost estimation software is an advantage
• An excellent command of Dutch is essential
