Sustainability expert

Function

As a Sustainability Expert, you will have the unique opportunity to make an active contribution to sustainable development.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• the preparation and follow-up of carbon footprint analyses and reports.
• In addition, you will support clients in their sustainability journeys, such as the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the CO₂ Performance Ladder and Ecovadis.
• You will help to develop bespoke reduction strategies and sustainability reports (VSME).
• Internal quality control and keeping abreast of developments in sustainable technologies and regulations will also form part of your role.
• Collaborating with and encouraging innovation amongst clients and colleagues is key, and you will be the main point of contact for sustainability-related enquiries.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as environmental sciences, bioengineering, chemistry, sustainability management….
• At least three years’ relevant experience in sustainability projects.
• Knowledge of energy, environmental or ISO standards is an advantage.
• An analytical mind and the ability to translate complex issues into practical solutions.
• Working independently and collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Very good knowledge of Dutch.
