Function

How do you make complex civil structures feasible?

• Within the internal design department, you translate complex construction and infrastructure challenges into safe, feasible and economically sound structures.
• You develop structural studies for a variety of civil projects, with calculations covering concrete, steel and soil mechanics, among others.
• From permanent structures to temporary auxiliary structures: you think along about construction methods that are technically sound and practically feasible.
• Direct consultation with site teams, clients, subcontractors and external design offices ensures that your design aligns with the reality on site.
• You investigate alternatives, formulate technical optimisations and make complex solutions understandable for all parties involved.
• As a structural engineer, you supervise studies and review calculations, execution drawings, formwork plans and reinforcement plans for technical quality.
• You support draughtsmen and share your expertise with colleagues, so that the structural team as a whole works more effectively and consistently.
• From Neder-over-Heembeek, you see how your calculations grow into tangible structures and directly contribute to projects with visible impact.

Profile

Are you strong in structural design?

• You hold a master's degree in civil engineering as a civil or industrial engineer.
• You also complement this with at least five years of experience in structural design.
• Experience with civil structures such as bridges, tunnels or tanks is a strong asset.
• You are driven, resilient under pressure and work with precision.
• A good knowledge of relevant calculation software and common PC applications.
• You think critically and creatively and are not afraid to look outside the box for alternatives.
• You communicate fluently and in a client-oriented manner with colleagues, clients and subcontractors.
• You enjoy collaborating with different disciplines and sharing your technical knowledge with the team.
