Construction site manager

Function

• As Site Manager Construction, you take day-to-day charge of industrial construction projects and ensure that planning, quality and safety on site remain aligned.
• You organise the work, monitor subcontractors and your own staff, and oversee progress from preparation through to completion.
• Through regular consultation with project management, construction partners and the client, you translate agreements into a feasible site organisation and clear actions.
• You check the execution on a technical level and intervene promptly when planning, material supply, quality or safety require adjustment.
• Clear site administration, accurate reporting and flagging additional works or risks give the project team the information needed to make swift decisions.
• You work primarily from the region of the assigned site and can attend the office in Harelbeke for meetings, training or support; we are looking for reinforcement for projects in Flanders.
• With your overview and approachability, you create a calm atmosphere on site and help to realise industrial construction projects efficiently and in accordance with agreements.

Profile

• You preferably have 3 to 5 years of experience as a site manager, site supervisor, team leader or in a comparable construction role.
• A qualification in construction or equivalent practical experience provides a strong foundation. Experience with industrial construction or general construction projects is relevant.
• Reading plans, organising activities, setting priorities and monitoring progress are skills you enjoy applying on site.
• You communicate fluently and professionally in Dutch, as clear agreements with colleagues, subcontractors and construction partners directly contribute to safety and results.
• Flexibility in working hours and a practical, approachable attitude are important: a construction site does not always follow a strict schedule and requires you to switch quickly and carefully.
