Site Manager
Function
- You begin with a focused induction programme in which you get to know the assembly activities, working methods, and safety agreements on site.
- On larger sites, you then take on the day-to-day organisation in close collaboration with the foreman and project manager.
- You monitor the progress of your own teams and subcontractors, and keep track of planning, quality, and budget.
- You are also responsible for the administrative follow-up of the site, such as work documents, planning, reporting, and practical coordination between the parties involved.
- Safe working is central: following safety agreements and contributing to an orderly and manageable construction site are also part of this.
- During site meetings, you represent the assembly activities, discuss bottlenecks, and contribute to workable solutions.
- Identifying, substantiating, and following up on additional works also falls within your responsibilities.
- - After your induction period, you will grow into the role of Site Manager and become the point of contact for the site organisation of larger projects.
Profile
- A professional bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a diploma in Industrial Engineering (Civil) is a strong foundation; relevant practical experience or another technical qualification may equally be applicable.
- You have 0 to 3 years of experience in construction, assembly, steel construction, or a comparable technical environment, or you wish to purposefully translate your education into a role on site.
- A practical mindset helps you to make decisions quickly, analyse problems on site, and ensure that agreements are actually carried out.
- You communicate clearly with fitters, foremen, subcontractors, clients, and project management. For international sites, you are open to communication in English, French, or German, depending on the context.
- You organise your work accurately, take safety and quality seriously, and are willing to work temporarily abroad when a project requires it.
