Site Manager

Function

As Site Manager at our client, a leading Class 8 construction company, you will help steer a wide range of construction projects in Arendonk and the wider Antwerp region. You will act as the link between planning, execution and monitoring on site, ensuring that everything runs smoothly, safely and as agreed. In this role, you will enjoy a great deal of variety, responsibility and the opportunity to develop further within a professional and dynamic construction environment.

You will support day-to-day operations on site and monitor progress from start to finish. In doing so, you will work closely with project managers, foremen, labourers, subcontractors and suppliers. Thanks to your structured approach, clear communication and attention to quality, the project stays on track, both organisationally and financially.

Your duties will include:

• The day-to-day organisation and coordination of site activities;
• Planning, monitoring and adjusting work in line with progress;
• Supervising workers, foremen and subcontractors on site;
• Monitoring quality, safety, timing and efficiency;
• Monitoring deliveries, materials and practical site arrangements;
• Handling site administration, reporting and invoice verification;
• Identifying bottlenecks and contributing ideas for solutions on site;
• Maintaining close coordination with the project management team and other stakeholders.

You will be involved in a variety of projects, including public buildings, schools, social housing and commercial or residential developments. No two days are the same, which makes this role particularly exciting for those who enjoy taking on responsibility and thrive in a well-organised construction site.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a driven site manager who can work independently, but who is also a strong team player and collaborator. You have a keen interest in the construction sector and feel at home on site, where you maintain an overview and make decisions with a practical approach. You are a good communicator, well-organised and have a strong sense of responsibility.

Your profile:

• You hold a degree in architecture or have completed an equivalent course of study;
• Ideally, you should have experience in a construction or site-based role;
• You have a keen interest in implementation, site organisation and project monitoring;
• You can work efficiently with MS Office and you are meticulous in your administrative work;
• You communicate clearly and professionally with the various parties involved on site;
• You have strong organisational skills and are able to keep track of things, even when the workload increases;
• You have a solution-oriented mindset and can adapt quickly to unexpected situations;
• You attach great importance to safety, quality and an efficient approach;
• You are a team player who also takes responsibility independently;
• You are willing to be actively present on site in Arendonk and the surrounding area.

Experience in a Class 8 environment is an asset, but not an absolute requirement. What is more important is that you are keen to learn, take the initiative and are ready to grow alongside challenging construction projects.
